THE USEFUL STARTING POINT

Understand the difference between a created label, a handover and a carrier scan.

A reference is not a physical movement

A tracking number can exist before the carrier receives the parcel. A label-created status therefore does not prove collection or dispatch. If you are waiting for an order, ask the seller to confirm actual handover rather than interpreting the number alone.

Use the courier’s official website or app. Avoid opening payment links in unsolicited texts claiming a parcel is waiting; navigate independently to a known tracking page.

Read the sequence, not just the last word

Handover, sorting, transport, customs and attempted delivery describe different stages. A temporary pause between scans is not by itself proof of loss. Check the full timeline, destination and any action requested through the official channel.

Cross-border parcels can involve another delivery operator. Preserve the original reference and any linked local number rather than assuming the first number has stopped working.

When progress needs a follow-up

Keep the order confirmation, handover evidence and the tracking timeline. Contact the seller or shipping provider using its stated process if the parcel is overdue or an event is unclear. The person who bought the service may need to raise the enquiry.

If the status says delivered but the item is missing, check the delivery information and approved safe-place or neighbour arrangements, then report the issue promptly. Do not post full recipient details in public forums.

What SelectaParcel can do today

Our tracking page links to official courier tracking pages. It does not collect a tracking number, retrieve live events or investigate a shipment. You can still use our lost-or-damaged guide to prepare an evidence record.

Once booking launches, any integrated tracking will need a separately verified implementation. No simulated status on this information website is presented as a real shipment.

Questions worth clearing up

Does “label created” mean the parcel was collected?

No. A reference can be generated before the carrier physically receives the parcel. Ask the seller or booking provider to confirm handover if needed, and keep the actual receipt or collection evidence separate from the created label.

Should I pay through a text message to release a parcel?

Do not rely on an unsolicited message. Navigate independently to the official carrier or relevant authority and verify the request there. Avoid sharing payment or identity information through a link merely because it includes a plausible reference.
